It's been real exciting, let me tell you. And very, very gratifying. So I'm going out with as much a bang as possible before it all ends in three days. I've created the physical book tier with a cool hundred physical copies (I foresee myself cursing myself mightily over this, but that's not your problem) and another digital RPG session tier. I'm not exactly expecting the first to get sold out, but if you were wishing you could get a signed copy from me, well, now's your chance.
This project will close on Friday at 8 AM: I will be using Backerkit to fulfill pledges and manage add-ons, so keep an eye out for it. And thanks for backing the Kickstarter! I'll likely say that again, but I won't pass up the chance to do it now.

Five days! Also: today we hit a private milestone in terms of backers: I thought that 112 was the absolute best that I could hope for, and we hit that before even the last push!
To celebrate: well, today I make Caramelized Onion Bacon Tarts, like I said I would. But first, check out the new stretch goal and tier!

[NEW!] $4,000: Art for the RPG supplement! At this level, I'll be able to pay right away for art for the FERMI RESOLUTION table-top RPG setting. This will speed up the production process considerably, which will get the RPG up and out faster. Win-win! Note that character sketches for sample NPCs (see the new tiers) will be the second item on the to-do list, right after a cover.

Pledge $40 or more: Help define a sample RPG character!
- All of the rewards of the ADVENTURER tier, plus:
- The Fermi Resolution RPG setting will include a sample party of adventurers. At this tier, you get to help define them! You'll be choosing one sample character's name, species (from a list), profession (from a list), physical description, personality (a paragraph), backstory (a paragraph), and tagline (one sentence). I won't be doubling up on species and professions, so: first come, first served.
- I reserve the right to nix anything inappropriate, offensive (to ME), obscene, obnoxious (puns are fine), mean-spirited, or overly topical. Also: if the $4,000 stretch goal funds, character sketches for these NPCs will be the second art I pay for, right after the front cover. IF it funds, people will be provided with a digital copy of their character's sketch, suitable for printing and framing.
There MAY also be special, final-push tiers available for the last 48 hours. I make no promises, but keep watching the skies.

It's been a fun three weeks so far, and we're on the home stretch. I have a small treat: the first two chapters of FROZEN DREAMS! Go ahead and check it out. And, again, there's also the first chapter of the proposed audiobook. Feel absolutely free to pass those links around to anybody who you think might be amenable towards them.
You'll not be surprised to hear that there's a lot of discussion out there on how to maximize the last week of one's Kickstarter; I'm not averse to doing the benign stuff, like reorganizing the front page so that all the important things show up on the top. I just don't want to be actively manipulative. So, with nine days left: what do you want to see? Just bear in mind that shipping is the rock that many a Kickstarter has foundered on, and I don't have the budget for physical swag*. Other than that, suggestions are welcome.

*Also bear in mind that the production of most gimcracks these days is particularly vulnerable to international shipping disruptions. And, bluntly, is difficult to ethically source.

Basically:
- There's going to be one more, limited, tier of physical copies. I suspect that the well there is dry, but I also suspected that nobody would clean out the first two series of physical copies, so my judgement there is suspect.
- There's also going to be an International tier, which is the same as the other physical copy tiers except that I've tacked on $15 for shipping far foreign, subject of course to the vagaries of our current global pandemic.
- I also decided, on a sheer lark, to offer a physical book tier that also offers an original sonnet, written by yours truly. We used to do that at our local SCA group when I was in grad school, and I have kept up my hand in poetry in the decades that followed. Take advantage of my self-indulgent nostalgia! Or... don't. It's all good.

Two things for folks at the halfway point. First off: a working copy of the first chapter of the FROZEN DREAMS audiobook (assuming it funds) is available on SoundCloud:

This is looking more likely than not to get fulfilled by Backerkit. More on that later.
