I was going to make a smart-ass post about how I won't be making my July fulfillment deadline for the e-book version of FROZEN DREAMS... because I'll be hitting it next week; but the Internet is where sarcasm and irony go to die, but not before they thoroughly infect the water supply. So! It's looking good. Zee book is being assembled on Kindle as we speak. Backers will get emailed theirs, then we're going to wait a few days* before we start selling the book on Kindle and whatnot. Although first I'm going to test the system by releasing the wallpapers**; if the delivery system works there then I can get the books out, no worries.
Once all that's done I can start prepping the book for print. Come, I will conceal nothing from you: I am trying to get the print book available before the Dragon Awards deadline for nominations. There's no chance it's gonna win, of course. But a deadline is a very valuable thing to have on general principles.
Lastly - and this is why the update is public - the pre-order store is doing surprisingly well. I am less than ten bucks from breaking even on Backerkit! Or maybe thirty; I'm not sure how much of a bite Stripe takes. But it's still pretty darn cool. It'd be even cooler if I turned a profit, so tell your friends!

I don't want to spam and I don't want to keep you folks in the dark, so weekly seems appropriate for keeping all of you up to date.
- The store is open! If you know anybody who missed the Kickstarter and feels bad about it, there are two pledge levels to address that.
- Book is about to get its last pass-through. .mobi (Kindle), .epub, and .pdf; I think I can put it up on Backerkit for folks to get. After that, the print book shouldn't be too much more trouble to do, but it's going to take at least some time (proofs, and whatnot). We're on track to meet deadlines there.
- Audiobook is ticking along nicely. It's not on a July deadline, but it should be done by then. Should.
- RPG is being worked on. I expect that I'm going to be primarily working on it throughout June. I've mostly so far collated and adapted what rules were needed from GUMSHOE, and gotten a start on expanding the existing material. We also have art and a cartographer: Ben Fleuter and Robert Altbauer, respectively. There's no formal deadline here, but I really want it finished properly and as soon as possible.
- If you ordered a sonnet from me, you should have gotten an email already, but I'll be sending out another one. The sooner I know what you want, the faster it gets done.
- If you have not filled out your survey, please do so. Let me know if you have problems with your survey or with Backerkit.

The first test wave didn't throw up any issues, so all backers should be getting their surveys now. If you did not get your survey, you can go to https://frozen-dreams.backerkit.com/ to get one sent to your preferred email. And if you missed the campaign, you can go to https://frozen-dreams.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders: there are two add-ons that effectively duplicate the all-digital and print copy tier pledges.
In other news, everything progresses along on the checklists. We are having no problems so far with hitting our deadlines: I dislike using that caveat, but I have to acknowledge that there may be factors beyond my control. It's been that kind of year.
